Vinh Hiep shares farmer-linkage experience at six-year policy review
On 11 November 2025 in Hanoi, Vinh Hiep took part in a six-year review of the policy supporting cooperation and linkages in agricultural production and consumption under Decree 98/2018. The company shared experience from organising a coffee supply chain connected with growers and purchasing partners.
A network connecting farms with markets
The report described Vinh Hiep’s links with approximately 20,900 farming households, around 20,000 hectares and 300 purchasing agents. These figures referred to the network presented at the November 2025 event.

The company discussed how relationships among households, cooperatives, agents and processors help connect production decisions with market requirements. Maintaining those links involves both commercial coordination and the exchange of information.
Training and responsible production
Activities described included training for growers, participation by women and younger people, and awareness of child labour risks. The company also referred to 4C, Rainforest Alliance and organic production programmes within its sourcing activities.

Programme names describe different requirements and scopes. Their presence within a supplier’s network should not be treated as proof that every coffee in the network carries the same status.
Digital information and future development
Vinh Hiep outlined further work on digital management and regenerative production. These directions were presented as part of continuing efforts to strengthen the chain and respond to changing market needs.
The event offered an opportunity to connect practical business experience with a review of the wider agricultural linkage policy. For the company, it also highlighted the importance of maintaining grower relationships as production and export requirements develop.
