Vinh Hiep joins SAFE project launch on agriculture, forests and livelihoods

On 22 April 2025 in Hanoi, Vinh Hiep participated in the launch of the SAFE project. The programme connected sustainable agriculture, forests and livelihoods, with support involving the European Union, Germany and the Netherlands and implementation cooperation through GIZ and Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

Bringing different participants into the discussion

Thai Nhu Hiep joined a panel at the event. The programme provided a setting for businesses, public organisations and development partners to discuss the relationships among agricultural production, forest protection and the people working in sourcing areas.

Linking sourcing areas with market expectations

Agricultural businesses increasingly need to explain where their raw materials come from and how information is maintained through the chain. Cooperation with growers and local organisations is part of the practical work behind those records.

For Vinh Hiep, participation connected its coffee activities with a wider discussion about sustainable value chains. The event introduced the project and its direction; it did not establish a certification or assurance applying to every coffee product.

Readers interested in a current project activity should identify the relevant component and period. Buyers requesting a sustainability attribute should also review the product-specific documentation needed for their proposed supply.
